Charon
Charon, the ferryman of Greek mythology, carried the souls of the dead across the river Acheron, but only those who could pay him with a coin, which is why the ancient Greeks were buried with one under the tongue. Those with nothing to pay wandered the banks for a hundred years. The artist loves ancient myths, and they sometimes inspire his bronzes.
